Course Information

Our Driver’s Education classes/online is open to all students as early as 14 and a half years of age.  State of Wisconsin requires 30 hours classroom/online class along with at least SIX (6) hours of Behind The Wheel Lessons and SIX (6) hours of Observation. Fill out the form below to request a behind the wheel lesson, or cancel an existing one.

STEP 1

Whether by classroom, online or a hybrid course, students under the age of 18 must have 30 hours of Driver’s Education to get a temporary license (permit).

STEP 2

Upon completing the 30 hours Driver’s Ed., students must be at least age 15 years old and will have to take the Knowledge and Signs test at the DMV. The student will need a signed form (MV3001) from us, A-Plus Driving School, in order to take the test at the DMV and receive the permit.  If you filled out the MV3001 form beforehand during one of our Class sessions (before Covid-19) we would have your MV3001 form on file, it would be given to the student on the last day or before the last day of class, mailed or emailed to you. For the Online Driver’s Ed. students, contact us, to have the MV3001 form emailed to you or set up a time and date to fill out/pick up the MV3001 form from our office. Students can do a practice permit test by visiting- https://DMV-permit-test.com to prepare for their permit test before going to the DMV.

STEP 3

Behind the wheel lessons will begin after the student has received their permit and after you contact us to schedule the behind the wheel lesson.

Lessons are ONE (1) lesson per month for the six month duration OR every other month for students who are required to have their permit for 12 months.  Students are also required to have FIFTY (50) hours of driving practice during that same 6 to 12 month time span with a parent/guardian congruent with the driving lessons

STEP 4

Final Step is the Road Test.  After student, age 15 1/2, has held the permit a total of 6 months or 12 months if student was 15 when issued a permit. The student has to have completed the 6 behind the wheel lessons, the 6 observations hours, any payments that are due must be paid in full and the student has to be at least 16 years old to take the road test.
